The History of the Problem
One of the Czech chess world champions is still referring to his situation that began around 30 years ago. 'Brečím jak želva', this is his usual funny nickname of the day. The alleged cause of this exhaustion was fear of training and respect for the older colleagues.
Baldness and its Impact on the Nickname
After thirty years of difficult baldness, he chose the word 'turtle' as his nickname. It's often used in a humorous context but originally it was real hair loss issues.
"Originally I had an excellent head!" started his quip the chess champion. "But now I look like a turtle and that gives me several positive steps on the stairs that haven't been heard from day to day.
Inefficiencies in the Broader Community
Though it required much preparation and specific attention, he ultimately achieved great things. However, so far, he hasn't seen many successes within his community. "I hear 'Breč, jak želva' all the time. I have to keep it only for myself, but sometimes it gives me even more motivation!" he answered hesitantly.
Overcoming and the Path to Titles
Simultaneously, he was the center of attention after his successes on an international level. Initially, he tried to overcome his image and along the way to titles had to put aside the nickname that held him back.
"Did you believe me? No! I hear 'Breč, jak želva' day by day. But it's also motivation for when I can focus on improving my shape and tomorrow with new energy!"
